Trecarn Hotel - Torquay

Its location walk from pubs and bars was unbeatable. Actually everything was great, my next choice again in Torquay.

Modern and fancy hotel, very good value for money, what else to wish for. Marvellous location in a nice area with views of the beach. Again, 5 minutes walk from Torquay United fc Stadium. All the staff was willing to help. ...  

This was my excellent stay for 4 nights. I enjoyed staff and location in the hotel, they were very good. The location was marvellous, specially it was walk from a railway station which was useful.

the a single room was updated, it had an iron, a storage and coffee. the staff was willing to help with our every need. favourable location of the hotel unfamiliar to the area.

The bar area was spacious, but the water pressure in the shower was poor.

Amazing staff made our stay special!

The staff were super nice, especially Nicky, who was so helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfy, and breakfast was a great buffet. Only thing was the parking, it was a bit tricky on the streets, but we managed. Great value for a family trip!

I enjoyed some good meals here, especially with fresh local produce-can't get enough of those organic veggies! The evening entertainment was a right laugh, and the staff were properly friendly. Oh, and Jade at reception? An absolute gem!...  

I stayed for 3 nights in a Standard Double Room. Clean accommodations. The staff were friendly and helpful . Evening entertainment added a fun touch to my evenings. It was a decent experience 😊

Friendly staff and clean room, but evening food could be better suited for families.

The rooms are overdue for an update, especially the bathrooms which are quite dated. Showers lack power, and the sound insulation isn't great-nighttime disturbances from neighbors can be annoying. The back entrance gives off a less-than-ideal initial impression, with worn carpets and paint. Encountered some uninvited guests during meals, which affected the dining experience. Little quirks here and there detracted from what could have been a solid stay.

The evening meal had a great variety and was of really good quality. The reception staff handled our room change with excellent efficiency.

We experienced noise disturbances from another room during our first night.

Good hotel with wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a bar/lounge area. The staff were so helpful to my elderly parents on my first stay, which I remember fondly. The entertainment is also very good!

Great location with friendly staff

I stayed for 3 nights in a Standard Double Room. The location was fantastic, providing easy access to local attractions, and the staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good, with a variety of options available each morning. The room could use some updates and maintenance, as there were a few minor cleanliness issues that detracted from the overall experience.

I booked a standard double room for a weekend getaway and had high hopes based on previous stays. The location is ideal, near Babbacombe and Oddicombe Beach, and easy to reach from the main road. Reception staff welcomed us warmly and were helpful with any queries. The breakfast spread was good, with plenty of options on offer. Unfortunately, the room itself fell short. It had a lingering damp smell, and the radiator didn't work. I also found the shower cubicle was dirty, disappointing. Noise from the hallway made it hard to relax, and hearing arguments between other guests added to the stress. Staff were polite but seemed overwhelmed at times, leaving us to deal with our issues on our own. The entertainment options were decent but lacked variety and could be improved. Considering the reasonable price, I expected some basic comforts to be in better shape, like a clean bathroom and functioning heating. I wish there had been more attention to detail in maintenance and cleanliness, as I see the potential for a great stay here.
